714-X Treatment for Cancer
714-X is a compound principally composed of camphor: a pungent, crystalline substance derived from the bark and leaves of the camphor tree. The other ingredients include water, nitrogen and salt. The claim is that it can be used to treat cancer.

The National Cancer Institute reports that 714-X was created during the 1960s in Canada. The Moores Cancer Center credits Gaston Naessens with developing 714-X.
Theory

The theory behind the 714-X treatment is that camphor inhibits cancerous cells from taking nitrogen from healthy cells (a process that inhibits immune response). It is also claimed that 714-X helps to mobilize the immune response and improve lymphatic function.

Treatment Method

714-X comes in a solution that is injected into the lymph nodes near the groin. The Moores Cancer center states that treatment involves three 21 day cycles of injections.

Risks and Approval
