Recent robot vacuums are all of the same general design and build, shaped like discs and sitting low to the floor. In the past, some robot vacuums have been much larger and stood as tall as traditional vacuum cleaners.

Robot vacuum cleaners take much longer to vacuum a room than a person does, due to the randomness of their patterns and slow travel time.

Size

Robot vacuum cleaners are generally small in size, weighing just a few pounds, standing just a few inches tall and being only a foot or so in diameter.

Misconceptions

Robot vacuum cleaners cannot perform all of the same functions or clean floors as well as traditional vacuums due to their (generally) small size and limited functionality and mobility.
