Lipoden or Myoden Injections for Weight Loss

Lypoden is a lipotropic cocktail. Lipotropics aids weight loss by directly affecting the body's metabolism. Lypoden contains the drug myoden which contains adenosine. Adenosine naturally occurs in the body and increases energy. It has been used to treat chronic fatigue as well as having positive effects on weight loss. Lypoden injections are recommended for obese patients or those who experience weight loss plateau.

  1. Side Effects

    • Possible side effects of lipotropics are nausea, vomiting, fishy odor, diarrhea, stomach discomfort and uncontrollable urination. If you experience any of these side effects consult your doctor.

    Considerations

    • Do not take more than the recommended dose. Doses are customized to the individual. Always take with plenty of liquids.

    Other Uses

    • Lipotropics have been used to treat liver disease and fat metabolism diseases. Other unlabeled uses include treatment of Tourette syndrome, eyelid spasms and Alzheimer's disease.

    Warning

    • The maximum weight loss is 3 pounds per week. Your weight loss should not exceed this amount by more than 2 pounds, if you begin to experience rapid weight loss consult your doctor, this can be an indicator of adverse effects of lipoden.

    Who Prescribes Lipoden?

    • Only a licensed bariatrician prescribes lipoden. Bariatricians are board licensed medical doctors. Consult your doctor for a referral.
