Information on Corabell Flowers

Also called corabell and Heuchera, coral bells are flowering plants native to the United States. Though the delicate flowers of the coral bell are visually appealing, it is the eye-catching reds, purples, golds, yellows and greens of the coral bell's leaves that make the plant popular with gardeners.

Types of Coral Bells

Different varieties of coral bells include amber waves, amethyst myst, black beauty, lime rickey, midnight rose, peach melba and ruby veil. Each variety of coral bell has a distinct leaf patterning and flower color combination.

Geography

Coral bell plants grow from Connecticut northward and across all of Canada and then extend south to Mexico, according to the Primrose Path.

Size

The smallest varieties of coral bells are approximately six inches tall, while the tallest varieties average as high as 36 inches, according to Dayton Nurseries.

Time Frame

Coral bells are perennials, meaning they have the potential to bloom many times throughout their lifespan. Typically, coral bells blossom from early June through the end of August.

Benefits
