Difference Between Brides & Bridesmaid Bouquets
The bride's bouquet may be far more elaborate than the bridesmaids' bouquets, or the differences between the bouquets might be very subtle. The bride chooses her bouquet first and then designs the bridesmaids' bouquets to coordinate, but not copy.
-
Size
-
The bride's bouquet is generally larger than the bridesmaids' bouquets. The flowers might be bigger than those of the bridesmaids, or the bride's bouquet might have more flowers.
-
Shape
-
The shape of the bride's bouquet may or may not be the same as that of the bridesmaids'. The bride's bouquet might cascade down her dress, while the flowers in the bridesmaids' bouquets all point upward to their chests.
Color
-
The bride's bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets are generally not all the same colors. The bride's bouquet might be solid red roses, while the bridesmaids carry roses in three coordinating colors.
Flowers
-
The type of flowers the bride and the bridesmaids carry should coordinate, but they do not have to be the same. The bride might have hydrangea and roses while the bridesmaids only have roses.
Embellishments
-
The bride's bouquet can be more embellished than the bridesmaids'. The bride might add Swarvoski crystals to her bouquet or she might add pearls to the ribbon on a hand-tied bouquet.
