Theanine Serene is an alternative medicine produced and distributed by Source Naturals. It is made from natural ingredients that are meant to relax tension, calm brain activity and relieve stress.
There are no reported side effects of Theanine Serene, but it is always recommended that you discuss any and all supplements with your doctor before taking them.
The ingredients of Theanine Serene as listed on the Source Naturals official website are magnesium, GABA, L-theanine, taurine, Holy Basil Leaf extract, modified cellulose gum, colloidal silicon oxide, sorbitol and stearic acid.
The Source Natural website warns, "If you have cancer, talk with your doctor about theanine. The use of L-theanine supplements along with cancer chemotherapeutic agents must be done under medical supervision."
Theanine Serene has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The Source Natural website says, "The statements made in this website have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The products offered are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."
There is very little research available to prove the effectiveness and safety of Theanine Serene. Contact your health care provider to further discuss this or any other medication.
