According to medicinenet.com, the following side effects have been rarely reported: abdominal cramps, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, insomnia, nausea, depression, memory loss, fever, impotence, lightheadedness, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, numbness, tingling, cold extremities and sore throat.
Warning

Patients with breathing disorders such as asthma, bronchitis or emphysema may experience increased breathing difficulties when taking this medicine. Patients should not take this medicine if they have prior histories of low heart rates of heart defects as it can cause heart rates to drop.
