The process of purchasing hearing aids can be a confusing and expensive undertaking. Fortunately, more insurance companies are providing hearing health care services through groups, such as HearPO, to make the process easier.

  5. Hearing aids purchased through HearPO will have a HearPO label. However, these devices are manufactured by Bernafon, Phonak, Rexton, Siemens, Sonic Innovations, Unitron and Vivatone.

  7. Hearing aid styles include completely-in-the-canal (CIC), in-the-canal (ITC), in-the-ear (ITE), behind-the-ear (BTE) and open-ear (OE) hearing aids.

  9. HearPO offers a wide range of programmable and digital sound processing technology. Your hearing health care professional will recommend the type most appropriate for your needs.
  10. Cost

  11. The cost of your hearing aids will depend upon the make and model you select. Savings can range from 30 percent to 60 percent of the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).

  13. Additional options or special features may require pre-authorization. Hearing aids purchased through HearPO can be returned for a refund if you decide not to keep them.
