Myths About Having a Boy

There are lots of myths about how to tell if your baby is going to be a boy. Science will tell you they are just that--myths. You can have fun with these wives tales trying to determine if your baby is going to be a boy.

  1. Carrying Low

    • If you are carrying your baby low in your belly, it is said to be a boy.

    Baby's Heartbeat

    • If your baby has a heartbeat under 140, it is said to be a boy. This was once accepted by the medical community, but not anymore.

    Food Cravings

    • Supposedly if you are craving sour foods, you are pregnant with a baby boy.

    Husband's Weight

    • If your husband doesn't gain any weight during your pregnancy, you should be having a boy.

    Face Weight

    • If your face gets rounder and more rosy, you may be having a girl. If it stays the same as before, your baby's sex is said to be a boy.

    Breast Size

    • If your right breast is bigger than your left breast, you could be having a boy.
