Drug Interactions

When combined with neuromuscular blocking agents like Jexin and Nuromax, Cleocin Pediatric has the potential to cause muscle rigidity, making movement difficult. Using Cleocin Pediatric with another antibiotic medication called erythromycin has the potential to increase side effects of both drugs.
Risks

Some patients who take Cleocin Pediatric develop a serious inflammation of the colon known as colitis, causing excessive amounts of diarrhea and posing a risk for dehydration. Along with killing harmful bacteria, Cleocin Pediatric may also harm some bacteria that lives naturally in the body, causing an overgrowth of fungus that leads to oral thrush and other types of yeast infections.

Children with a history of kidney or liver, colitis, enteritis or other intestinal diseases should not take Cleocin Pediatric due to its potential side effects,
