Cell Level Healing
Cell level healing, also known as cellular level healing, is the study of how our bodies work at the cellular level and how best to support their optimum health and function. Cells are designed to do two things, repair and regenerate. If our cells are healthy, our entire bodies will be healthy. If our cells are not healthy, the whole body can be affected negatively.

Cell Regeneration

There are an estimated 75 trillion to 100 trillion cells that make up the human body, or roughly 1,500 times the population of the Earth. All those cells need to be kept in balance and in harmony within our bodies. Each kind of cell is replaced at different rates. Cells are constantly being replaced, and whole organ systems are replaced in time. Taste buds are completely replaced in a week. Skin cells are replaced in just under a month. We get a complete red blood cell "transfusion" in four months, and the entire body is "overhauled" in two years.

Inside Cells

All the information needed for life is contained in the "memory" of each of our cells. Information is stored in the nucleus, where our DNA is found. Our cells communicate with each other through chemicals and receptors located along the cell membranes. The mitochondria packs power. The reticulum causes cell action that synthesizes all the enzymes and proteins needed for life.

Cells require proper fuel, just as a finely tuned automobile does. If we provide inferior fuel in the form of white sugar and junk food, our cells cannot function properly. When we put toxic garbage such as processed foods laden with chemical additives into our bodies, our cells must expend energy to simply survive.
Delicate Systems
-
We expect our bodies to keep going, even when we are unaware of any trouble at the cellular level. The human body is extremely resilient, but it is not immortal. If we fail to care for our bodies, then our cells break down and disease ensues. A lifetime of this can cause debilitating and even life-threatening diseases.

Fruits and vegetables in their raw, uncooked forms provide enzymes and nutrients for cells. Plenty of fresh air and sunlight, vigorous exercise, pure water and adequate rest all aid the body in keeping healthy. Richard Davidson, professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, who has researched neuro-plasticity among Buddhist monks using MRIs, indicates that positive thoughts and practices like meditation and prayer affect the emotions and also connect to cell physiology. Combined, each element contributes to balanced and harmonious health on a cellular level.
