The file extension .lgo stands for a data file. These files are binary files that contain the drivers for the logo program. There is some, but not much, information available for this file extension.

    History

  1. This file type was created by about 160 different companies as an interchange format that was based on the TIFF file, and that was capable of georeferenced raster imagery. The companies that had the need included cartographic, survey-related, GIS and remote-sensing companies.
  2. Functions

  3. The .lgo file extension contains information of a design, mainly the instructions to create that design.
  4. Uses

  5. This file extension is used in Windows PaintBrush, as a Modem ListGeo Output file, MSWLogo as a saved Logo Design file, SuperFax as a header/footer file, and as a Windows Logo Driver File.
  6. Windows 3x

  7. This file extension was used in the Windows 3x operating system for the startup logo code.
  8. Troubleshooting

  9. If you have one of these files and need to open it, first check the program ID. Sometimes companies will put a shorter version of their name in the ID that Windows uses to open that file. If not, then check the file path to the file. Maybe the file has installed itself into a directory that can shed some light on the subject.
