What Is the Difference Between Adipex & Phentermine?

Phentermine, also known by its brand name, Adipex, is the most-widely prescribed and most-frequently encountered diet pill on the market, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. This medication was originally developed and marketed as a replacement for amphetamines. (Reference 1)

  3. Adipex, manufactured by Gate Pharmaceuticals, is a brand name given to a diet pill that contains the chemical substance "phentermine."
