Zanaflex Side Effects
Zanaflex is used to treat muscle cramps and tightness. When it decreases the muscle cramps, the pain being experienced can be improved. It is a short acting muscle relaxer that blocks nerve signals from the spinal cord to the brain.

The common side effects are dry mouth, constipation, weakness, dizziness, fatigue and drowsiness.
Unlikely Serious Side Effects

Serious side effects are mood changes, hallucinations, fainting, hearing or vision problems, and problems with urinating. Notify the doctor if these occur.

Rare Serious Side Effects

Rare side effects are black stools, slow or irregular heartbeat, persistent nausea, stomach pain, dark urine and yellow skin or eyes. Call a doctor if you experience these effects.
Allergic Side Effects

An allergic reaction is a serious problem. If a rash, itching, swelling to face, throat or mouth, severe dizziness or shortness of breath occurs call the doctor.
Precautions

Inform the doctor if you have low blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease or liver disease. The elderly should take extra care because they may be more sensitive to the effects. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy unless directed by a doctor.
