Chief Executive Officer Job Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the head of a company or organization. The responsibility of success or failure rests with the CEO. The CEO is also the liaison for companies that have boards of directors.

    • Candidates for CEO are usually selected by a search committee, and the board of directors makes the final hiring decision. Anyone who starts his own business can name himself the CEO.
