If a dog (or human) is deficient in thyroxine, they may get prescription for levothyroxine sodium, a synthetic thyroxine also known as L-thyroxine. "Thyrozine" is a brand name of Phoenix Pharmaceutical for levothyroxine. It is not a misspelling. "Thyroxine L" by Butler Schein and "Soloxine" by Virbac are two other brand names for the same thing.
