Class C Motorhome License Requirements

Although you need a special driver's license to be a truck driver or motorcyclist, you do not need a special license to drive a Class C motor home.

Schools

There are a number of excellent schools that teach you proper motor home driving techniques. They will teach you everything from how to properly adjust your mirrors to how to correctly turn.

Dealers

If you buy your Class C motor home from a dealer, it will often offer lessons or require you take classes on how to drive a motor home safely.

Lots

It is best to practice driving your motor home before taking it on a journey. The best place to do this is vacant parking lots where you have plenty of room to adjust to turning the large, Class C motor home.

License

To purchase a Class C motor home and drive it, you will need a valid driver's license from the state you live in, just like driving a car.

Diferences

Keep in mind before driving your Class C motor home that they are much taller and handle differently than an ordinary automobile.
