The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino opened in April 1996. The 24-story hotel contains over 2,000 rooms, several restaurants and a casino.
Location

The Stratosphere is located on the north end of the famed Las Vegas Strip. Unlike most Las Vegas hotels, the Stratosphere is somewhat isolated from the remainder of the Strip; it serves as a middle boundary between the downtown casinos and the Las Vegas Strip.

The Stratosphere tower is home to the second tallest observation deck in North America and two restaurants. Its three thrill rides are: X-Scream, Big Shot and Insanity.
