Side Effects of Epilepsy Medication

    Toxicity

    Bone Loss

    • Bone loss can occur from taking some epilepsy medications, such as carbamazepine, primidone and phenobarbitol.

    Inflammation

    • In some cases, epilepsy medication results in inflammation of either the liver or pancreas.

    Allergic Reaction
