Mortal Kombat Armageddon Character Information
The fighting video game "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" for the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo Wii features 64 characters, most of which come from previous games in the "Mortal Kombat" franchise. The game also features a "Kreate-a-Fighter" mode in which players can create custom characters.

"Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" features all 10 characters from the original "Mortal Kombat" video game: playable characters Johnny Cage, Kano, Liu Kang, Raiden, Scorpion, Shang Tsung, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero. Non-playable characters from the initial installment who are playable in "Armageddon" are bosses Goro, Shang Tsung and hidden character Reptile.
Mortal Kombat II Characters

Playable characters from "Mortal Kombat II" that appear in "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" are Baraka, Jax, Kitana, Kung Lao and Mileena. "Armageddon" also includes hidden characters Jade, Noob Saibot and Smoke, and bosses Kintaro and Shao Kahn.

In "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" players can select the following "Mortal Kombat 3" characters: Chameleon, Cyrax, Ermac, Kabal, Motaro, Nightwolf, Rain, Sektor, Sheeva, Sindel and Stryker.

With the exception of new characters, the rest of the "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" cast is rounded out by characters from games following the original trilogy. From "Mortal Kombat 4" there is Jarek, Reiko and Tanya. Fujin, Kai, Quan Chi, Sareena and Shinnok made their debuts in "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero." "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance" featured Blaze, Bo' Rai Cho, Drahmin, Frost, Hsu Hao, Kenshi, Kira, Li Mei, Mavado, Mokap, Moloch and Nitara. Characters from "Mortal Kombat: Deception" are Ashrah, Dairou, Darrius, Havik, Hotaru, Kobra, Onaga and Shujinko.
New and Improved

Taven and Daegon are completely new to the "Mortal Kombat" series, while Meat appears as a fully playable character for the first time.
There is one console-exclusive character in the game. Khameleon, originally from the Nintendo 64 game "Mortal Kombat Trilogy," appears only on the Wii version of "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon."
