Lunesta is the brand name for Eszopiclone. It is a central nervous system depressant that is usually prescribed to treat insomnia temporarily. Lunesta may also be helpful for those individuals who suffer from anxiety that occurs as a symptom of generalized anxiety disorder.

    Time Frame

  1. Lunesta works very quickly and should only be taken when you are prepared to sleep a full eight hours.

  3. Lunesta is a sedative that causes sleepiness and helps sustain sleep through the night. Lunesta may be especially helpful during times of increased anxiety.

  9. Other side effects of Lunesta include dizziness, headache, fever, chills, upset stomach, heartburn, indigestion, belching, dry mouth, back pain, nervousness and bad taste in the mouth.
