- Cardstock, the base for cards, notes and envelopes, can be purchased in books, in packs or individually. Add your own patterns and designs to plain cardstock.
- Get creative with stickers on your cards and envelopes. Stickers can be purchased by sheets or in bulk packages in an array of designs, characters, patterns and symbols.
- Markers, pens, colored pencils and all other writing utensils must be acid-free if you are using photographs on your cards. To save money, you don't need to buy the more expensive name brands.
- Charms and other embellishments come in packs as well as in bulk, giving you a wide range of choices in a money-saving larger size. Buttons and jewelry charms can also be used.
- Use acid-free glues and adhesives when putting photographs on your cards. Rolls of self-stick backing adhesive can be cut to size, which is cheaper than purchasing precut adhesives. Liquid glue, glue sticks and spray-on glue come in large sizes and multipacks that will save you money.
