What are the Side Effects of D-Bol

Dianabol, nicknamed D-Bol by consumers, is an anabolic steroid. Technically called methandrostenolone, its primary medical uses are to treat delayed puberty, and weight loss or muscle wasting caused by surgery, trauma, or a debilitating disease. Some athletes also use it for increasing muscle growth and strength. Several side effects are possible, some serious.

Identification

Anabolic steroids are synthetic hormones related to the male sex hormones (androgens). They promote development of male sexual characteristics and lean muscle.

Time Frame

To prevent side effects, people should limit continuous use of D-Bol to 6 weeks or less, with at least an equal amount of time as a break from the drug.

Common Side Effects

More common D-Bol side effects include scalp hair loss, acne, and mood and behavior changes such as irritation and aggression.

Gender Effects

Men taking D-Bol may experience reduced sperm production (infertility), testicle shrinking (testicular atrophy), and irreversible breast enlargement. Women can develop coarse skin, excessive body hair growth, and irreversible voice hoarseness or deepening.

Risks

D-Bol is associated with liver cancer and hepatitis, particularly when the drug is abused. Other risks which mainly occur with long-term use include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and heart attacks.
