Just as they've done on the computer market, Apple and Microsoft are duking it out to see who has the superior music player. By the time the Zune was released by Microsoft, the last 30GB iPod was already obsolete by Apple's standards. However, when compared you can see how the fifth generation 30GB iPod still held up against Microsoft's first generation Zune.

The 30GB iPod can hold up to 33 hours of video, according to Apple. The Zune, however, can hold up to 60 hours of video because of the way the Zune software compresses the video files, according to Microsoft.
