Lunesta (eszopiclone) is a prescription sleep aid that is primarily used for the treatment of insomnia. Consult your physician regarding whether Lunesta is appropriate for you.

    Memory

  1. Exceeding the prescribed dosage of Lunesta increases the risk of amnesia and engaging in activities while not fully awake with no memory of engaging in the activities afterwards. Sleepwalking, having sex and driving may also occur with no memory of engaging in these activities.

  3. Exceeding the prescribed dosage of Lunesta increases the risk of experiencing abnormal thoughts and engaging in reckless behavior. Examples include aggressive behaviors, confusion, increase in outgoingness, and suicidal ideation. In severe cases, coma and death may result.
  4. Liver Functioning

  5. Lunesta overdose may lead to hepatic failure, especially in individuals with existing liver functioning impairments.
  6. Other Side Effects

  7. Exceeding the prescribed dosage of Lunesta may increase the risk of developing and the severity of other side effects, including chest pain, headaches, urinary continence and other reported side effects.
  8. Emergency

  9. In case of an overdose, seek medical attention and contact your local poison control center.
