Lynoral Side Effects

Lynoral is used as an oral contraceptive and is effective in preventing pregnancy. Lynoral is also prescribed to treat the symptoms of menopause, certain types of breast cancer and prostate cancer.

    Missed Doses

    • According to Drugs.com, if you miss a dose of lynoral, you should take it immediately--even if you take two in one day. If you miss two or more days in a row, contact your doctor for directions.

    Common Side Effects

    • The most common side effects of lynoral are nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, bleeding between menstrual periods, weight gain, acne, swelling and/or bloating.

    Tests Required

    • It might be necessary to run monthly blood screening tests to check for higher levels of potassium in your system.
