There are many reasons why chocolate is sold in bulk. Buying any food item in bulk goes beyond the bulk aisle at the grocery store or paid warehouse memberships. You can purchase bulk chocolate online and sometimes straight from chocolate manufacturers.

    Function

  1. Buying in bulk simply means buying a large amount at one time. Buying in bulk usually saves the consumer money because the manufacturers are selling a large amount at once. They are willing to cut prices to sell more products.
  2. Uses

  3. Bars of Chocolate

Bulk chocolate may be needed for the large production of candies, cakes and cookies. It's needed whenever a lot of chocolate is used for parties, events and advertising promotions.
  4. Types

  5. Almost every form of chocolate can be bought in bulk. Professional chocolate makers refer to pure bulk chocolate as wafers, bars or coins. You can also purchase chocolate in large slabs or powder cocoa. Large amounts of brand name chocolate candies can also be purchased in bulk.
  6. Considerations

  7. When buying bulk chocolate, keep in mind the expiration date if you are not using it right away. According to Saco Foods, cocoa powder has an indefinite shelf life. Nearly all other forms of chocolate have a shelf lives of approximately one year.
  8. Storage

  9. Bulk chocolate should be securely wrapped. It should then be kept in a dry, cool storage place that does not exceed 70 degrees Fahrenheit for best flavor and freshness.
