Why Is Disney World a Good Family Vacation Spot?

Walt Disney World in Florida has become one of the top vacation spots in the United States, especially for families. With four theme parks, two water parks, a shopping district, themed hotels and more, there's something for everyone.

Little Ones

There are plenty of rides and attractions that the youngest members of the family will enjoy and the adults with them will love as well. Soar over London in Peter Pan's Flight or drive through an African savanna in Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Tweens

Walt Disney World has plenty to offer to kids who are slightly older. With a five-story drop, Splash Mountain is sure to please, as are Space Mountain, Star Tours and Primeval Whirl.

Teens

Walt Disney World isn't just for the younger kids. Thrill rides include Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and Expedition Everest.

Characters

Kids of all ages (and their parents) love the Disney characters, and you'll have plenty of chances to meet them, take a picture and even get an autograph.

Shows

All four Walt Disney World theme parks have shows for the entire family. "Beauty and the Beast--Live on Stage," "Mickey's PhilharMagic" and "Finding Nemo--The Musical" are three of the many choices.

Fireworks

No one does fireworks like Disney. "Wishes" runs nightly in the Magic Kingdom, "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" is at Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios runs "Fantasmic!", an incredible show that's part live action, part lasers and part fireworks.
