Typhoid Symptoms

Typhoid is a serious disease that is associated with fever, and it is caused by the species of bacteria called salmonella. You can get the bacteria from contaminated food or water. It takes about two weeks for the symptoms of typhoid to show. Some of these symptoms are listed below.

  1. Fever

    • This is the first symptom of typhoid, but further diagnosis should be conducted to confirm whether you have typhoid or not. This is necessary because many other conditions can cause fever.

    Diarrhea

    • Typhoid leads to diarrhea because it affects the stomach and the intestines. The diarrhea may be accompanied by severe abdominal pains.

    General Body Pains

    • Those who have typhoid will also experience pains and aches all over, especially at the joints.

    Poor Appetite

    • Typhoid will make you lose your appetite. You will find it difficult to eat when the disease starts showing signs.

    Lethargy

    • All the above symptoms will make you feel lazy, and you won´t want to do anything because you will be weak.
