Skin Folds

Candidiasis in the folds of skin typically causes a bright red rash. This may also be associated with a softening of the skin and small pustules around the edges of the rash.
Diaper Rash
-
A Candida infection in the diaper area is common in infants and may cause an intense itching or burning. Candidiasis around the anus may cause a raw red or white rash.

Vagina
-
Vaginal candidiasis is especially common in women who are on antibiotics, have diabetes or are pregnant. It typically causes a white cheese-like discharge from the vagina.
Penis
-
Penile candidiasis is most common in men who have diabetes, are uncircumcised or have sex partners with vaginal candidiasis. It usually causes a red itchy rash on the head of the penis.
Mouth
-
Oral candidiasis, also known as thrush, causes white patches on the tongue that are frequently not painful. These plaques can't be easily removed with a blunt object.
