Electric Containment Fencing for Dogs
Electric containment fencing lets your dog roam in your yard up to an invisible boundary. Two methods--underground wire and WiFi--are available. With either system, your dog wears a special collar that transmits a signal to let him know he has reached the pre-set boundary. A tone alerts your pet that he is close to the border; a mild electric correction sends him back into the safe zone.

Underground WIre
-
Underground fence uses a buried wire to transmit radio signals to the receiver collar. Underground wire fencing works on any terrain and can be customized to any shape.
Large Area WiFi
-
Wireless dog fence uses a WiFi signal to alert your dog to the perimeters of the fence. WiFi fences cannot be customized for shape and are best for flat areas.
-
Small Area WiFi
-
Individual barriers transmit a WiFi signal up to 16 inches in diameter. Barriers are intended for small area coverage.
Safety
-
Invisible fences do not prevent people, dogs or other animals from entering your property. Do not leave your dog unattended.
Benefits
-
Electric containment fences are invisible. They do not interfere with views or violate zoning codes that prohibit fences.
Concerns
-
To train your dog to an invisible fence, you will lead him to a series of temporary markers that indicate the perimeter. During training, your dog will receive mild shocks.
