      Beet roots and greens are rich with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and C. One cup of beet or beet juice with no additives yields 74 calories, making it an excellent low-calorie part of a diet.

    Minerals

    • Beet greens are rich sources of calcium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, sodium and iron. The beet root contains smaller amounts of these minerals and is also an excellent source of source of chlorine, folic acid, iodine, manganese, organic sodium and potassium.
