Campus Minister Job Description

-
Function
-
CCCI, with a presence on campuses worldwide, states that "through evangelism and discipleship," a campus minister is "daily investing in the lives of students and offering a personal encounter with Jesus Christ."
Bible Studies
-
Campus ministers lead small-group Bible studies to help students grow in their personal faith and understanding of the Bible.
-
Leadership Teams
-
Most large campus ministries have leadership teams made up of student volunteers. Campus ministers train and support these student leaders in their various capacities.
Outreaches

A campus ministry is built through regular outreach to the student community. Campus ministers help to coordinate cookouts, concerts, debates, service projects and game nights to attract students to the ministry.
Retreats
-
Campus ministers organize weekend or summer retreats with speakers, music, fellowship and fun. These retreats facilitate extended and focused time for spiritual and relational growth among students.
Meetings
