Weed killer is a pesticide used to eliminate the growth of weeds in yards, gardens, flowerbeds and driveways. Some weed killers are specially formulated to harm only weeds, while leaving grass, flowers and garden plants to continue growing.

    Problem

  1. Weed killers are dangerous when they find their way into water systems and later into bodies.
  2. Diseases

  3. When we consume weed killers on garden vegetables or in drinking water, we invite into our bodies the potential for reproductive and developmental problems, endocrine production problems and lymphomas.
  4. Environmental Disruption

  5. Weed killer in soil and water systems creates contamination and toxicity that causes infertile soil and death to necessary organisms in water.
  6. Skin Problems

  7. Excessive skin exposure to weed killers through leaky nozzles dripping the chemicals onto the hands of the sprayer has the potential to create rashes and burns on the skin.
  8. Alternative

  9. Organic weed killing methods provide a much safer alternative to eliminate the unwanted growth of weeds.
