Dogs With Bladder Problems
Bladder problems can cause your dog a great deal of pain. If treated, however, these conditions can be cured completely. If you think your dog has a bladder problem, make an appointment with your veterinarian.

Types
-
Dogs are susceptible to infection of the urinary tract or bladder. Incontinence and bladder stones are also possible.
Signs/Symptoms
-
Urinating more frequently than normal or having difficulty urinating may be signs of a bladder problem. If your dog has dribbling urine or there is blood in the dog's urine, a bladder problem may be the cause.

Visiting the Veterinarian
-
A urine sample will need to be collected from your dog. The vet may want to take x-rays as well, to check for bladder stones.
Non-Surgical Treatment
-
Most bladder problems can be cured with a seven- to 14-day regimen of antibiotics. If your dog has bladder stones, medication may be available to break them down.
Surgery
-
In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove your dog's bladder stones.
