Opponents state therapeutic cloning destroys embryos. Proponents hope therapeutic cloning can lead to the cure of incurable diseases.

Recombinant DNA technology involves taking a gene and injecting it into DNA to map human genes, analyze genetic diseases and move genes to a new organism.
