Gemstones, both precious and semiprecious, have been used for centuries to heal people spiritually, physically and emotionally. Each type of stone and gem has its own special healing abilities.

  1. Amethyst

    • Amethyst is a beautiful purple-hued stone that is often used to help insomniacs, and is known as a "dream stone." Amethyst is also used for headache relief, as a meditation aid and to protect against witchcraft, fear and guilt.

    Emerald

    • Emerald is a green stone that is also known as a "birth stone" in addition to having healing capabilities. Emerald is used as a tranquilizer, to provide hope and to encourage fidelity.

    Aquamarine

    • Aquamarine is a stone that ranges in hue from pale aqua to blue-green, and is mainly used for spiritual healing and meditation. It is known for providing calm, serenity and peace.

    Citrine

    • Citrine is a golden-hued quartz stone that can be used by merchants and businesspersons to increase prosperity. Citrine is also used to combat negative energy, increase self-esteem and provide clarity of thought.

    Amber

    • Amber is a stone that is typically yellowish in color, but can also be black, white, violet or red-orange. This stone is used to soothe teething babies, to alleviate headaches and arthritis pain, for heart problems and kidney ailments.

    Ametrine

    • Ametrine is a stone that results when citrine and amethyst grow in the same quartz crystal. Ametrine is known for healing depression, as well as providing tranquility and inner peace.
