Rosehip Oil Benefits

Rosehip oil comes from the berries of a lush wild rose bush that grows in the southern Andes in Chile. Native Chileans have used rosehip oil for centuries for many healing remedies.

  1. Aging

    • Rosehip oil is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and visible signs of premature aging on the skin. It is especially helpful in minimizing crow's feet around the eye and lines that appear around the mouth.

    Moisturizer

    • Rosehip oil is an excellent skin moisturizer. It works well on skin that is sensitive, dry, problematic, allergic and sun damaged. Many simply use it as a daily skin lotion.

    Scars

    • Rosehip oil works well in reducing the redness, swelling and puckering that often comes from scarring. It is also beneficial in preventing the buildup of keloid scaring (bumps on the skin.)

    Pigmentation

    • Age spots are found to diminish with regular use of rosehip oil. Pregnancy mask, the darkened pigmentation that occurs on the cheeks during pregnancy, also lightens when rosehip oil is applied regularly.

    Stretch Marks

    • Rosehip oil help the skin produce new cells. It is used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and give the skin a tight overall tone.

    Skin Pits

    • Chicken pox and acne can leave deep pits in the skin. Rosehip oil's potent rejuvenating and wound-healing properties help heal pits and replace scarred tissue and damaged skin.
