Rules for Mounting a GPS

Most GPS units come with either windshield or dashboard mounts that can be installed in minutes. The mounts provide a secure and practical home for the GPS while you are driving. Moreover, they are easily removed for storage when you are away from your vehicle.

GPS devices come with a suction cup windshield mounting option or a disk that adheres to your dashboard.

Function

To attach the GPS to your windshield, clean the area where you want to put the suction cup, place the suction cup on your windshield and secure the suction cup in place by pushing the handle toward the windshield. If you would rather mount your GPS on your dashboard, remove the backing from the disk, hold it in place for 5 to 10 seconds, then mount the suction cup holder onto the disk.

Warning

To prevent theft, remove your GPS and mounting unit from your windshield or dashboard when you leave your vehicle.
