Cosmetologist

A cosmetologist with a chemistry background manufactures cosmetic products. She determines the right mixture of chemical compounds for specific cosmetic products before they hit the market.

Pharmacist

Pharmacists help doctors to prepare and dispense drugs to patients. These medications react with a person's physiology on a chemical level and must be dosed appropriately by the pharmacist.

Perfumer

A perfumer creates and designs fragrances. These fragrances are a complex blend of chemicals. Becoming a professional perfumer can require up to 20 years of study.

Medical Lab Technician

Medical lab technicians work with many other scientific disciplines to test, detect and treat diseases. They use chemistry to analyze specimens, bodily fluids and cell tissue.

Electrochemist

Electrochemists use high-tech equipment and scientific experiments to study electric reactions from certain chemicals. The most prominent application for electrochemistry is finding new ways to harness electricity from water and other alternative fuel sources.
