Liar's Dice Rules
Liar's dice can be played either as a drinking game or a gambling game. The game is typically played with ordinary six-faced dice, each player rolling in turn as the players attempt to guess the roll on the dice. Players make bids that can be challenged by other players. Raises are set to a predetermined minimum and maximum.

History
-
Liar's dice came originally from Pre-Columbian South America and was brought back to Spain by Francisco Pizarro, a 16th century Spanish explorer.
Features
-
To play liar's dice, players roll five dice underneath a cup, and then pass the cup and dice to the next player without looking at the dice.
-
Considerations
-
The payer who rolled guesses the amount of his roll, while the next player challenges or accepts that guess. An accepted claim is confirmed by peeking underneath the cup to check the amount of the roll.
Benefits
-
If a claim is challenged and the challenger wins, the challenger wins the value of "the hand." Wins are determined as in poker: two pair, full house, and so on.
Warning
-
A challenge in liar's dice can lead to further challenges, or raises. A losing guess results in the loser paying the required amount to the challenger. In the case of a drinking game, this can result in a wild evening if too many challenges are wrong.
