Outdoor Wedding Decor Ideas
An outdoor wedding provides a decorating opportunity for a ceremony and reception that is intimate and romantic. You can decorate a home landscape or commercial wedding site into your own dream setting.
-
Garden
-
Turn the outdoor area into an English garden or Victorian rose garden with potted plants and live greenery. Use Victorian-look white furniture or satin-covered folding chairs with bows and flowers tied to the back for a beautiful, romantic atmosphere.
Enchanted Forest
-
Rent trees from a nursery and fill a back yard with a forest of greenery. Add fresh flowers in reusable plastic floral pick tubes set into the branches with wisps of satin ribbon.
-
Beach
-
If you are getting married on a beach, carry the decor into the reception decorations with shells, candles, sand and colored sea glass on the tables.
Time Period
-
If you are a reenactor, carry your hobby into a theme wedding. Decorate a Renaissance or Medieval setting with tents, herb floral decor, and food laden tables; decorate for Civil War era with columns, heavy cascading plants and garden beds.
Western Theme
-
Western clothing, bandannas, horse shoes for good luck, and boots with floral arrangements in them will decorate the wide open space for a Western wedding. Add in fencing around the ceremony area with flowers tied on the sections with simple bows made from rope.
