Body Acne Information

Body acne is almost as common as acne on the face. But there are many ways to prevent this painful and embarrassing skin condition.

  1. Body Acne

    • Body acne is much like the acne on your face, caused by bacteria, oil, dirt and dead skin cells. This can appear on the chest, legs and back.

    Shower

    • If you suffer with body acne, it is important to shower often. When you work out or are sweating, it is most important to clean out your pores so they do not become blocked.

    Routine

    • When showering, use products with the least ingredients possible. Anything unnecessary can potentially irritate your skin or clog your pores. Make sure after you shower to moisturize with nonscented lotion. You want to keep your pores clean and hydrated.

    Exfoliate

    • Be sure to exfoliate once a week. By using body wash or body sugar with exfoliating beads in it, deep dirt and oil will be brought to the surface and washed away. This leaves less behind to clog your pores.

    Exercise and Diet

    • It is important to eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables to make sure you get the vitamins your body needs. Also be sure to exercise because physical activity rids your body of harmful, acne-causing toxins.
