The Types of Baby Tree Frogs

Baby tree frogs are part of the pet trade in the United States. It is easy to see the appeal of a species that has so much variety. Tree frogs vary in size, color, skin texture and sounds.

Barking Tree Frogs

The barking tree frog is native to the Southeastern United States. They are green with gray and brown spots. They will grow up to be about 2 1/2 inches long.

Cuban Tree Frog

A baby Cuban tree frog grows to be larger than other tree frogs. They average is about 5 inches in length. These frogs are known for being noisy, croaking loudly, especially in the early morning.

Dumpy Tree Frog

The dumpy tree frog receives its name from its fat "dumpy" appearance. They grow to be about 4 inches long and have a brilliant blue-green coloring. They are also called the "smiling frog."

Pacific Tree Frogs

The Pacific tree frog lives in wetlands on the West Coast. They are tan, brown, gray and green. They only grow to be about 1 inch long.

Vietnamese Tree Frog

The Vietnamese tree frog is known for its unusual calls and its changing colors. This frog's skin varies in darkness from time to time. They are typically green with brown spots and average 2 or 3 inches in length.
