A woman's appearance should be a reflection of her inner self. Each detail of her outfit has importance, down to the very collar on her shirt.

Peter Pan

  • This small rounded-edge Peter Pan collar is typically found on button-down blouses. Lace is sometimes added to the edging of the collar for a more dressy appearance.

Sailor

  • Associated closely with the United States Navy, the sailor collar is noted for it's double square panels and medium V-necked appearance. A scarf is often tied loosely under the collar.

Bertha

  • This collar is recognized by it's large round, flat shape around from a low V-neck cut. The Bertha collar was a popular look in the Victorian age.

Johnny

  • The short V-necked collar with small outer flaps is designed to lay along the neckline. Johnny collars are often made of lace or other sheer materials.

Turtleneck

  • The turtleneck is a high knitted collar tailored to fit around the neck. The collar is typically turned down, or scrunched under the neck.
