Fun Volunteer Jobs

Volunteering involves giving work to an organization for free. The time can range from an hour to several thousand hours a year. For each stage of life, there are fun jobs to which volunteers can contribute their time and talents.

Children

Children, with their parent's help, can set up a lemonade stand and give the proceeds to a local pet, homeless or children's shelter.

Teens/Young Adults

Teens can volunteer at a film festival. The teens assist the special guests such as directors and actors, and with admissions and special events.

Adults

Mentoring through a program such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters can be a rewarding experience. The mentor serves as a friend to an underprivileged child.

Seniors

Senior adults can serve as foster grandparents. Seniors provide the wisdom of their years, while the child introduces them to their perceptions of today.
