Prices as of August 2009 can range from less than $1,000 for a 42-inch set to almost $6,000 for 54 inches.

on 8/24/2009 I've seen alot of copy/paste info on this website. ------------> Everyone misses a very important disadvantage to plasma tv's. They CAN'T be used at high elevations. Plasma screens literally "explode" at high elevations. You pull them outa the box and the screens will be completely shattered.
