- Plasma TVs have better image quality than any other type, with richer color, deeper blacks and greater contrasts.
- Viewers can see clear pictures from any angle, with no motion-blur during fast-action scenes or sports.
- Plasma sets are generally bulkier than LCDs of equal size. Images left in the same position for too long can burn into the screen.
- Only three companies manufacturer plasma sets: Panasonic, LG Electronics and Samsung.
- Prices as of August 2009 can range from less than $1,000 for a 42-inch set to almost $6,000 for 54 inches.

on 8/24/2009 I've seen alot of copy/paste info on this website. ------------> Everyone misses a very important disadvantage to plasma tv's. They CAN'T be used at high elevations. Plasma screens literally "explode" at high elevations. You pull them outa the box and the screens will be completely shattered.
