What Is Precision Mode in Guitar Hero 3?

Guitar Hero III is a video game published by Activision. It was released in 2007 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Wii, and has sold more than two million copies on the Wii alone as of 2009.

Precision Mode

Precision Mode is a cheat code that will tighten the timing for hitting notes while playing the game, making it more difficult.

Cheat Code

While in the Options Menu, strum (Green Red), (Green Red), (Green Red), (Red Yellow), (Red Yellow), (Red Blue), (Red Blue), (Yellow Blue), (Yellow Orange), (Yellow Orange), (Green Red), (Green Red), (Green Red), (Red Yellow), (Red Yellow), (Red Blue), (Red Blue), (Yellow Blue), (Yellow Orange), and (Yellow Orange) to activate the code.

Cancelling the Code

If you want to turn off Precision Mode, reenter the code in the Options Menu.

Considerations

Unlike most cheat codes, Precision Mode does not make the game easier. Playing in Precision Mode will make the game harder.

Benefits

Playing in Precision Mode will improve your timing, coordination and reaction time if you stick with it and practice long enough.
