Nowadays, many people prefer to use natural cleaning products instead of buying products with more chemicals in them. Not only is it better for the environment, it can be a lot cheaper. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Vinegar

    • Vinegar and water mixed equally make a great degreasing cleaner. Clean windows and remove mildew and wax buildup.

    Baking Soda

    • Baking soda can be used straight from the box as a scouring agent. Baking soda also neutralizes odors while cleaning.

    Cream of Tartar

    • Cream of tartar mixed into a paste with a little water will remove residue from your washing machine or other porcelain-coated appliances without scratching the surface.

    Lemon Juice

    • Lemon juice can be used to clean mirrors and to remove stains. It works especially well on removing stains from Formica countertops. Once you squeeze the lemon, you can run the rest of the lemon through your garbage disposal to freshen it.

    Salt and Vinegar

    • Remove tarnish from silver by boiling it in water with a tablespoon of salt and a cup of vinegar added.

    Baking Soda and Vinegar

    • This mixture can be used to clean toilet bowls and drains. Pour a mixture of ¼ cup baking soda and 1 cup vinegar into the toilet, wait 5 minutes and brush. For drains, pour ½ cup baking soda into the drain and then add ½ cup vinegar. Cover the drain for 15 minutes and then rinse with hot water.
