Don't blow your entire savings account on new couches. Instead, work with what you have by placing matching slipcovers over your existing couches.

Accesorize

If you're in college, you're likely on a limited budget. Accessorize your apartment on the cheap by buying throw pillows, vases and potted flowers in the main color of your color scheme.

Canvas Walls

Many campus rentals prohibit painting the walls. Bring a splash of color to your walls by stapling a colorful fabric to a 6-foot square canvas and simply lean the large canvas against your wall.
